Brewing Tea

Three panel comic. First panel: some tea brews on a counter and cartoon me sits down in a chair nearby saying "I will sit down while my tea brews". Second panel: cat jumps onto cartoon me's lap. Third panel: cartoon me is stuck under the cat and a speech bubble comes from the tea saying "Your abandonment has made me cold and bitter."

Tea is my number one favourite, but lately I’ve been into coffee, too. And you know what I just realised? I never forget and abandon coffee. Weird.

      (and thank you!)

Lol You are not alone! This scenario is one of the few moments when my cat *wants* to sit on my lap!

I think my cat knows about tea. Sometimes he gets really pushy about lap-sitting (even if you’re standing. It’s awkward), and it’s usually when my tea is brewing.

It is a crime that you are not famous, Lucy.

I went thru traumatic loss, bullied at work while in a Twillight Zone, gone out of my mind, suicidal, mentally ill, hopeless, blackest darkness….

But your stuff is … why are you not famous?

Thank you :) You know, I’m not entirely sure I want to be famous. Would I like to have a bigger audience? Sure. But actual fame? I don’t know. I’m not sure it’s all it’s cracked up to be.

(Again, I’m so sorry to hear about everything you went through <3)

No, of course,I wouldn’t like fame neither. I think what I really mean is more exposure. Getting more exposure for your amazing work and humor “unfortunately” brings some sort if fame with it.
I think I certainly wish you enough exposure to be able to live off your work very comfortably.

All right. Now you did it. I can’t stop laughing. It’s not just the cat but also that poor cup of tea. So much emotion in this one small space. This is just fantastic.

I’ve got it. AU hipster tea is brewing loose leaf at exactly 83* C

Okay, first up, there’s really no need to brew *all* kinds of loose leaf tea at 80-something degrees. Black tea is fine at 100*C. But, yeah, 80-ish is much better for green or white teas. Second up, teabags make everything taste like filter paper. When I make tea, I want hot leaf-water, not hot-paper water, but sure, *I’m* the weirdo.

(I guess this definitively answers the question of whether or not I’m a hipster).
