How to tell if someone is actually a soulless demon-spawn waiting for an opportunity to feed on your flesh

If you’re anything like me, you frequently wonder if the person you are talking to is just trying to lull you into a false sense of security so they can eat your flesh. I spend so much time and energy worrying about this that I have devised a clever trap for such people. Here, I will show you how to perform this test for yourself.

  • A test subject
  • A car with a music player
  • An mp3, CD or cassette with Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer”

Step 1.

Find an excuse to give your test subject a lift in your car. Next, break the figurative ice of awkwardness. The results of this test will not be accurate if the test subject feels uncomfortable. Only proceed to step 2 when you are both engaged in animated, friendly conversation.

Step 2.

Play Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer.”

Step 3.

Sing along with all your soul.

Step 4.

Observe reaction in test subject.

Example of a pass:

The test indicates that the subject has a soul if any of the following conditions are met:

  • They sing
  • They car-seat-dance
  • They head-bop
  • They smile
  • They take any kind of obvious pleasure in the fact that you are enjoying yourself

Note: smiling and other mild signs of approval may indicate the subject has a shy soul. This is a perfectly acceptable type of soul and should be nurtured. Maybe one day they will feel comfortable enough to sing with you. Maybe that’s just not their thing. Either way, they’re happy that you’re happy, and they have a soul.

Example of a fail:

The subject tests negative for a soul if they look at you in a judgemental way.

If the test subject fails the test, do not panic.

… Or, rather, do. Because you’re alone in a car with them and you have just established that they are soulless demon-spawn waiting for just such an opportunity to eat your flesh. Perhaps I didn’t think this through very well.

But, seriously, don’t panic. Because they don’t know that you’re onto them and there are probably other people on the road who will notice if they try to eat you at the next red light.

UPDATE TO TEST: Make this trip in peak traffic, do not let them know that you are onto them, and make sure you always have innocent bystander witnesses around. Maybe get a pre-tested friend to ride a bicycle next to your car for the entire trip.

Are we clear on the new rules? Excellent.

Now you may be wondering what to do once you’ve found out that your friendly new acquaintance wants to feed on your flesh. Never fear! I have a solution for that too.

You can protect your home with boundaries of salt. Everyone knows that demon-spawn cannot cross lines of salt, as they are closely related to the common snail or slug.

By following this precaution you should be able to maintain safe spaces. This procedure has several added benefits. It will cause no harm to the person if the test result was a false negative and they actually do have a soul. Also, it will protect your home and garden from bands of marauding snails.

Stay safe. Protect yourself from soulless demon-spawn.

P. S.:

On a totally unrelated note, don’t be snarky and judgey to people who are just being happy and aren’t causing anyone else any harm. I mean, would it kill you to sing along to “Tiny Dancer?” Or just to smile and be happy for someone else’s happiness? People will stop inviting you in their cars if you keep judging them.

  1. Now, I’ve always wondered (as salt is a common theme in soulless, flesh-eating, demon-spawn repelling): why not just glue the salt barrier down to make it impervious to damage from wind, or more commonly, other people not properly respecting the salt line? It seems like such an obvious solution yet no one does it. Perhaps the glue compromises the integrity of the salt? What about other mediums?

What I’m going to take away from my own comment is perhaps I should watch less TV. Or more. Definitely one of those things.

    1. … oh my god. You have just revolutionised demon fighting.

I suppose experiments would have to be conducted to make sure it still works. Will the salt dissolve in the glue? Is dissolved salt still effective against demons? If it is, you would think the sea would be a more commonly used retreat from demonic pursuers.

But I think this is a very promising line of inquiry. I suspect the biggest issue would be that it might not be as useful when you need to make a salt circle in a rush.

      1. Definitely not as useful in a rush – one would still need to carry salt on their person. BUT – in demon flooding lulls you still want to build a safe zone.

Experiments definitely needed. Salt water creates a SUPER interesting question – you NEVER see people at sea having to deal with demons. Just evil mermaids and sirens and such. Thus, IF the sea is an effective barrier, what about salt water moats?

OH MY GOD – I just found another reason to want a castle! As if I needed yet another reason to want my own personal castle.

Why have I not won the lottery yet?!

Oh yeah, I need to buy a ticket first. That would probably be helpful.

Wow – got sidetracked real fast there. I do that.

      2. Can’t see anything wrong with this plan. Shall we have a castle and zeppelin each, do you think? We could be castle-neighbours and chat over our saltwater moats about all the demons we’ve foiled lately.

      3. Perhaps we’ll even start a castle newsletter, and attract other castles like a demon-protected castle subdivision. We can have demon neighborhood watch. OMG, we could get developer and realtor kickbacks and get SUPER RICH. I wonder if the standard real estate license covers castles?

      4. I’d like the opportunity to correct the typos in my other comment. Please email me if you can help with that. 2am on cell.
I didn’t realize it was wordpress and I couldn’t edit it. Thank you

  2. So, do you want the real thing? Here you go.

This will only work if a person claims to represent life’s truthful interests.

Ask the if they agree “Life is Most Important in Life is The Most Important Truth in Life” is true and always true and why or state this truth to them. If they dismiss this truth going forward while simultaneously claiming to represent life’s truthful interests then they judge themselves guilty of having no soul and cannot be forgiven and will never have soul going forward. That person will never have the ability to properly understand again. They will change their mind and their change of choice will not help them understand properly. They will acknowledge the results and never understand the reason why.

This truth is the cure and prevention of all needless and preventable suffering and death. The instructions for use are the words themselves. Needless and preventable suffering and death only occur after someone has dismissed this truth as always true. To dismiss this truth, which is the legitimate cure, while speaking for life, is a soulless wicked evil that not even the only possible God: a True Living God, has the authority to forgive as that God is not above the truth “Life is Most Important in Life” if the god is not both true and living it certainly is not a God.
